Burpee Fitness Test Procedure

The purpose of the Burpee test is to assess your ability to accelerate and to change directions as quickly as possible.

Two lines 9.14m (30 feet) apart with a chair placed on each line. Also two additional chairs should be placed between the two lines so that there is an equal distance between all four chairs. The two central chairs will therefore be located at the 3m and 6m marks.

High Level Procedure:

On the command "Go!" the subject sprints from behind the starting line to the far line, touching it (or the ground beyond it) with one of his/her feet, then returning to the starting line to run around the chair placed on the line and then zigzagging around the other chairs and back again to finally sprint once more across to the far line, touching with the foot and sprinting back to cross the starting line.
