Anthropometry
Anthropometry is the science of measuring the dimensions of the human body and its parts.
Anthropometry involves measurements of bone and general body
breadths, girths or circumferences, lengths and skinfold thicknesses of the human body
according to a standard set of guidelines.
Some common measurements are: stretch stature or height, body mass, girths such
as waist and hips and skinfold thicknesses such as triceps, subscapular, biceps and
iliac crest.
The guidelines or set of rules for measurement used in this software are those
adopted by the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK).
